Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leona Smith of Nebo, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 92, on October 16, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Conner and Evia Reece Conner; her children, Mark Smith and Brenda Smith; her granddaughter Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Smith; her child Riley Quinn Smith; and her siblings, Floyd, Thad, Clyde Conner and Isabell Norris.
She is survived by: her children, James Smith (Cindy), David Smith (Betty), Patricia Owenby (Jimmy), Linda Fowler (Steve) and Charles "Chuck" Smith (Kim); and her siblings, Ella Mae May, Helen Inman, Lloyd Conner, Troy Conner and Raymond Conner. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
