It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kaye Vivian Fender McMahan of Nebo, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Rev. Clyde Fender; her former husband Kenneth Lee McMahan; and her son Jeffrey Scott McMahan. She is survived by: her sisters, Veredah Smith and Marlie Loftis (Harry); her nieces and nephews, Mitch Loftis, Jonathan Lawing, Crystal Lawing (Mark), Jillian, Bristol and Joanie Casey; her fiancé Leon Nix; her partner's children, Tim Nix and Cynthia Grindstaff; and also, Callie and Hayden Grindstaff.
