He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burelison and Marie Payne McCeary; his wife Christine Victor; and his siblings, Reba Stewart, George Payne and Victor Payne.
He is survived by: his daughter Amber Cox (Patrick); his sisters, Dorothy Robbins, Mary Humphery and Pauline Crain; and his grandchildren, P. J. Cox, Katlin Cox and Michael Cox. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
