He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin Newton and Mary Lou Finley Newton; and his siblings, Betty Caudle and Kenneth Newton. He is survived by: his siblings, Alvin "Doc" Newton, Larry Newton, Lois Shipman, Margie Barnette, Libby Ramsey, Dennis Newton and Richard Newton.
