He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pierce Stanford Jr. and Audrie McCurry Stanford; and his great grandchild Canaan Sayles. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rhodes Stanford; his daughter Andrea Sayles (Wade); his grandsons, Caleb Sayles (Courtney) and Jared Sayles; his great grandchildren, Emily and Ezra Sayles; and his siblings, Tom Stanford (Joyce) and Elaine Deaner (Calvin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
