She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyda Edwards and Oxie Hensley Edwards; her husband Hiram Whittington; her children, Michael Edwards, Jerry Whittington and Gail Eller; her grandsons, Bobby Eller and David Whittington; and her siblings, Junior Edwards, Marshall Edwards, Harold Edwards, Arlene Anglin, Jerri Grindstaff and Gwen Sumlin.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Whittington; her grandchildren, Leslie Freeman (James), Chris Eller, Matthew Whittington, Daniel Whittington, Mark Whittington and Molly Eller; her great grandchildren, Tanner Freeman, Kayleigh Freeman, Michala Eller, Marc Eller, Azi Imani and Addie Eller; and her sister Diane McKinney (Ronnie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pinnacle Baptist Church (664 Pinnacle Church Rd, Nebo, NC 28761). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
