Willie is survived by: children, Mary Cheeks, Barbara Jean Scott (Winslow) of Enfield, NC, Angie Edmonds, LaTonya Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC, Vernon Cheek (Shamon) of Rocky Mount, NC, William Earl Cheek, Calvin Earl Jones (Blondelle) of Whitakers, NC, Michael Jones (Cadine) of Enfield, NC, Hozel Edmonds of Nashville, NC and Haywood Edmonds (Willie Edmonds, Jr.) of Nashville, NC; and brother Curtis Lee Edmonds of Rocky Mount, NC. Willie is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
