She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert F. Carpenter and Kellon House Carpenter; and her brother Albert F. "Junior" Carpenter, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Burlon E. Bailey of Nashville, Annette B. Kelly of Rocky Mount and Jody T. Evans (Lisa) of Nashville; her sisters, Undine C. Faucette of Louisburg, Audrey C. Long of Nashville and Julie C. Howard (Pat) of Rocky Mount; her sister-in-law Brenda Carpenter of Nashville; her grandchildren, Matthew Kelly, Brandon Kelly, Jordan Evans and Haley Evans; and her great grandchild Carter Kelly. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family friends, and other extended relatives.
