He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Hardy; his children, Laneil Hardy of Battleboro, NC, David Hardy, Brian Hardy, Sr. of Warrenton, NC, Thurman Hardy of Rocky Mount, NC, Welford Hardy, Sr. (Sherry) of Hollister, NC, Willie Massenburg (Lenora) of Aventon, NC, Herman Hardy (Brenda) of Nashville, NC, Sherman Hardy (Joann) of Rocky Mount, NC and Kelvin Hardy (Annette) of Warrenton, NC; and his brothers, William Hardy of Whitakers, NC, Raymond Hardy of Hollister, NC and Larry Hardy (Ruby) of Stone Mountain, GA. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
