He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary Alice House Hyde and Evelyn House Webster. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shearin House; his daughter Kelle House Joyner (Bennie Lee Joyner, Jr); his grandson Dustin Lee Joyner (Mallory Bass Joyner); his great grandchild Avery Claire Joyner; and his sister Carol House Boney (J. W. Boney). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts of love be made to Nashville Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
