He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie R. Hyde and Maggie Thomas Hyde; his wife Lucille Rooks Hyde; his son Hubert H. Hyde, Jr.; and his siblings, Charlie Jr., James, Wilbur Hyde, Leola Joyner and Dorothene Rackley.
He is survived by: his son Charlie R. Hyde (Martha F. Hyde) of Red Oak; his daughter-in-law Sybil Hyde of Waycross; his grandchildren, Melissa Batten of Waycross, Chris Hyde (Brandy) of Florence, S. C. and Tracy Futrell (William) of Rocky Mount; and his sisters, Helen Davis, Weedie Hayes and Faye Farmer (Pete). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
