He is survived by: his wife Barbara Knight; his children, Sheila Knight of Spring Hope, NC, Gladys of Rocky Mount, NC, Felicia Knight of Rocky Mount, NC, Meshika Joyner (Kelvin) of Nashville, NC, Donnel Williams of Rocky Mount, NC, Edward Lynch of Nashville, NC and Michael Lynch (Kristie) of Rocky Mount, NC; and his brother Forest Knight (Ruth) of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
