With solemn reverence, we commemorate Cathy Shortt of Nashville, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose life came to an end on November 12, 2024 at the age of 73, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Rose and Shirley Rose; and her siblings, Ralph "Pete" Rose, Billy Rose and Shirley "Sis" Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Terry W. Shortt; her children, Mariann Schrader Shortt (Kevin) of Spotsylvania, VA, Jerry "Bruno" Schrader, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Dumfries, VA., Carrie Shortt of Fairfax, CO. and Joseph "Joey" Shortt of Takoma, MD; her sisters, Glenda Heflin (Sonny) of Huntingtown, MD, Charlotte Pasquerette (Bill) of Jefferson, MD and Hope Patterson of Virginia; her grandchildren, Ashley Boswell (Ryan), Ryan Shortt (Alisa), Jacob Schrader, Alexis Saville, Jessie Shortt and Joseph Shortt, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Cressman, Nayely, Wilder Boswell, Harper Saville and Scarlett Caballero.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis-Little Funerals (2129 Lawrence Cir, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
