It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Godwin of Nashville, North Carolina, born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Daughtridge and Betty R. Daughtridge; her husband William J. "Butch" Godwin; and her siblings, Marian Sallee and Marvin Daughtridge.
She is survived by: her children, Pete Ricks (Angel) of Nashville and Kristy Wright of Battleboro; her stepsons, Keith Godwin (Kathy) of Rocky Mount and Troy Godwin of Rocky Mount; her brothers, Lester Daughtridge (Denise) of West Virginia, Richard Daughtridge (Robin) of Maryland and Danny Daughtridge (Diane) of Maryland; and her great grandchildren, Jude and Ahlani. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
