He was predeceased by: his parents, William Otho Baker, Sr. and Addie Pridgen Baker; his sister Ruth Baker Christie; his brother-in-law Walter E. Christie, Jr.; and his brothers, Josiah Duncan Baker (Buck), James Purvis Baker and Walter Edison Baker.

He is survived by: his niece Cindy Christie Price (Larry) of Wilson; his nephew Duncan Baker; and his sister-in-law Darlor Pridgen Baker of Rocky Mount.
