He was predeceased by: his parents, James Milton Holmes and Alda Wiggs Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ellis Holmes; his daughters, Virginia Holmes Barksdale and Samantha Holmes Neal (Keith); his sons-in-law, Stephen Barksdale and Keith Neal; his siblings, Dr. Melinda Holmes of Akron, Ohio and Don Holmes (Sarah) of Pfafftown; and his sister-in-law Becky Holmes of Statesboro, GA.. He is also survived by his family, friends, veteran community, co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Farmington Methodist Church (1939 Farmington Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028).
