It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Guy Gore of Nakina, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Gore and Vassie Gore; his wife Betty Holmes Gore; his daughter Bobbie Joe Gore Cumbee; and his siblings, Ed Gore, Howard Gore, Ola Leigh Cox, Clovis Long, Jeanette Long, Betty Jo Long, Agnes Stocks and Wanda Nell Stocks.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Krystal Stanley, Jason Cumbee and Johnathan Cumbee; and his great grandchildren, Dustin Evans, Cale Hinson, Madison Stanley, Alyssa Cumbee, Kadence Cumbee, Gabriel Cumbee, Gunner Cumbee and Damien Cumbee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
