It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Evans of Nakina, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curby Evans and Bertha Reba Simmons Evans; his wife Linda Ward Evans; and his sister Hilda Pierce. He is survived by: his children, James Corey Evans of Nakina and Myra Renee Evans of Garner; and his grandson Dustin Ryan Evans.
