She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harold Bateman, Sr. and Margaret Dockery Bateman; and her daughter Julie Ward Brady. She is survived by: her husband Carl Hugh Ward, Sr.; her children, Chuck Ward (Tracy) of Ocean Isle, Betsy Ward Roop (Lee) of Apex and Christina Ward Rogers (Jason) of Nakina; her siblings, James Harold Bateman and Judy Davlin of Street, MD; and her grandchildren, Jack Ward (Rachel) of Pittsboro, Charlotte of Apex and Molly Roop of Apex.
