With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verna Lee Kephart of Murphy, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Mitchell and Bonnie McDonald Decker; her husband Robert Kephart; and her siblings, Linda Jones, Betty Ingram and Clyde Decker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Carol Green (Bill) and Don Decker (Donna); her children, Harold Kephart (Darlene) and Gail Bachteler (Frank); her grandchildren, Ami Achilles (Les), Ashlei Green (Seth), Eric Conley and Zachary Kephart (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Braiden Conley (Alexis), Ella Conley, Tyler Achilles, Ella Greene, Adams Greene, Marle Annabelle and Oliver Kephart; and her close friends, John and Joann Cabe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel (138 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
