He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Truett and Griffie Truett of Murphy; and his sister Betty Coffey of Andrews. He is survived by: his wife Helen McMillan Truett; his children, Debbie Green of Murphy, Brandon Truett of Ranger and Amanda Stiles (Dexter) of Hiwassee Dam; his granddaughters, Stacy Van Buskirk (Nathaniel) of Brasstown, Ashlyn, Dailyn, Alaina Stiles of Hiwassee Dam, Amy Grace and Sara Beth Truett of Morganton; and his great grandchildren, Zella, Noah and Remington Van Buskirk.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (194 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906).
