She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Freeman and Celia Roberta Coffey Melvin; her former husband Don Johnson; and her sister Cynthia Joan Melvin. She is survived by: her husband Ted Collins of Murphy; her sons, Donald M. Johnson Jr. of Murphy, Jeffrey L. Johnson (Sabrina) of Greensboro and D. Scott Johnson (Sayoko) of Suffolk, Virginia; her sister Anita Ringer (Larry) of Trenton, Georgia; her grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah Johnson, Aiden and Carter Johnson; and her nieces, Lauren Ringer (Joshua Raymond) and Charlia Ringer Medlock (Luke).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kernersville Seventh-Day Adventist Church (896 Old Winston Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Theresa "Anne" Melvin Johnson Collins to Hospice of North Carolina 75 Medical Park Lane, Ste C Murphy, North Carolina, 28906.
