It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sybil Cannon in Murphy, North Carolina, born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Cannon; her mother Winona McMillan; and her cousin Blackie. She is survived by: her son Mark (Jamie); her grandchildren, Matthew (Valerie), Jeffrey (Tara) and Emily; her great grandchildren, Kailey, Krystian, Dakota and Taliesin; and her niece Melissa Holder (Roger).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
