It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Clifford Halstead of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Halstead and Muriel Warren Halstead; and his brother Kenny Halstead. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Lane Halstead; his children, Greg Halstead (Sarah) and Kristen Runyon (Sean); his stepson Matt Lane (Tara); his siblings, David Halstead (Cameon), Gary Halstead (Suzanne), Debbie Morgret (Jim) and Sherrie Campbell (Scott); and his grandchildren, Devin, Kaylie Runyon, Alex, Lauren Halstead, Jackson Lane, Audrey and Grace Frye.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel (138 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
