The memory of Leslie M. Klahs of Murphy, North Carolina, born in New York, New York, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Leslie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Butler Dunn and Herbert Allen Dunn; her son John Randall Atanasoff; and her siblings, Sylvia Anne Perez and Andrew Deverick Gallatin.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Hampton-Woods of Tampa, Florida and Joel Raymond Atanasoff of Tampa, Florida; and her close friend Doris Pressley of Murphy. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
