It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Landon Emory Dillard of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Samuel and Nellie Jane Ross Dillard; and his siblings, Homer (Carol Dillard), Albert (Hassie Dillard), Bill Dillard, Dorothy Mae, Juanita and Woody Barker.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Marcella Beaver Dillard of Murphy, NC; his children, Jane Dillard Turlington of Hayesville, NC, Johnny Dillard (Geneva) of Lexington, SC, Ronnie Dillard (Rhonda) of Copperhill, TN, Connie Chancey (Shawn) of Mineral Bluff, GA and Scotty Dillard of Murphy, NC; his grandchildren, Timothy James Shields, Tori Shields Elrod, Morgan Dillard, Ryan Dillard (Stacie), Amber Lyles (Bryce), Emma Dillard, Alesha Orton (Jared), Ashley Rhodes (Jake), Kayleb Chancey (Maci), Kayla Satterfield (Peyton), Evan Dillard (Abby), Easton Dillard and Emily Dillard; and his sisters, Anne Ryley and Bobbie Nell Clevenger. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel (823 Ocoee St, Copperhill, TN 37317). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
