It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Richard Clinger (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Angie Sharon Clinger; his son Todd Clinger; and his parents, Joseph Clinger and June Clinger. He is survived by: his children, Angie Hunt and Brett Clinger (Tammy); his siblings, Trudy Megathlin and David Clinger; and his darlings, Bella and Boots. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (194 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (15 Friendship Church Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
