With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe R. Kephart of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Kephart and Minnie Harper Kephart; his son Samuel David Kephart; and his siblings, Lois Truett, Jack and Bill Kephart.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Elrod Kephart; his daughters, Kim Kephart Hogan (James) of Murphy and Jodi Lynn Kephart of Clarkesville, Georgia; his sisters, Betty Kidd (Wendell) of Murphy and Judy Dockery (James) of Murphy; and his grandsons, Jonathan and Jacob Hogan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
