He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Sr. MacFerran and Pearl Stook MacFerran; and his sisters, Susan MacFerran and Nancy Kurtz. He is survived by: his wife Janice MacFerran; his children, Alan MacFerran (Ava), Alisa Crocker (Brian) and Tom Auton (Yukari); his sister Joanne MacFerran; and his pet Lulu. He is also survived by four nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704.
