She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Napoleon Chastain and Ira Samantha Stalcup Chastain; her husband Kenneth Oran Beaver; her daughter Shirley Ann Allen; her sister Frankie Lee Burnett; and her great great grandchild Vivian Bea Truett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Wilcox of Cleveland, TN., Nancy Truett (Robert) of Murphy, N. C. and Carol June Setser (Kenneth) of Murphy, N. C.; her grandchildren, Nathan Wilcox (Bernadette), Danny Truett (Christy), Autumn Harris (Ronald), Tami Cook (Jamie), Robin Thistle (Da), Rocksand Brown (Tim), Samantha Passmore (Felix), Lindsey Pertet (William), Cindy Webb (Cody) and Julie Beth Truett; and her great grandchildren, Cody Truett, Jonah Truett, Kenny Thistle, Brady Harris, Daegan Harris and Tyler Harris. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy (4334 US-64, Hayesville, NC 28904). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy (4334 US-64, Murphy, NC 28906). A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Old Fashioned Baptist Church (732 Floyd Stalcup Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
