Clayton E. Raxter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton E. Raxter (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Utie H. Raxter and Maggie Barker Raxter; his wife Opal Jean Raxter; his former wife Marvie Trantham Raxter; and his siblings, Lawson Raxter, Garland Raxter, Charles Raxter, Alma Almond, Laura James, Lula Day and Barbara Sain.
He is survived by: his son Danny Raxter (Karin) of Cleveland, GA; his stepchildren, Nickey Adams, Scott Adams and Debbie Adams Searcy; his grandchildren, Joseph Raxter, Johnny Raxter, Shelly Armour and Jessica Turner; and his stepgrandchildren, Laramie, Cassidy, Tyler Adams and Stephen Searcy. He is also survived by his seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
