It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Logan Wood of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Cherokee, North Carolina, who passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Lee Wood and Natasha Day Wood; and his brother Kenneth Zane Wood. He is survived by: his brother Alex Wood of Andrews; his grandparents, Rick and Gayle Day; his uncles, Cain Day and Zack Day (Jackie); his cousins, Lucious Day, Emery and Raelynn Day; and his close friends, Ian, Taylor Sargent, Michael Williams and Little Ian Sargent.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Townson-Rose Chapel (409 Kent St, Andrews, NC 28901).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Jude Foundation at http://www.stjude.org.

“Hello, My name is Judy, In CT, I am the sister-in-law of William Poprosky a neighbor of Christopher. Never met Christopher but I really took a liking to him just by speaking to him on the phone. He called to share with us that William, (Bill) was taken to the hospital. He was so kind and being very choosy and cautious with his description of Bill's condition. I was always happy to call him because he was so easy to talk with although we were strangers to each other. I wish I met him. Love Judy”
