Betty Lucas Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Lucas of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Orlando, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Betty's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Betty has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Irick and Frances Sapp Irick. She is survived by: her son Ricky Lucas; her sister Carolyn Williamson; her grandsons, Ricky, Hunter and Garrett; her great grandchild Landon; her nieces, Debbie and Kim; and her nephew Ronnie.

The family requests memorials be made in memory of Betty Lucas to the Valley River Humane Society, PO Box 658, Murphy, NC 28906.
