It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Franks (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Craig and Rosella Craig; her brother Terry Craig; her grandchildren, Payton Franks and Jodi Mayne; and her great grandchild Lee Mayne.

She is survived by: her husband Joel Franks; her children, Peter Franks (Beth) of Naples Fl, JoEllen Borden (Jeff) of Dunlap, IL, Dale Franks (Sandra) of Zion, IL, Connie Patenaude (Mike) of Zion, IL, David (Mary) of Kentwood, MI and Tammy Ott (David) of Murphy, NC; and her siblings, Barbara Jones (Henry) of Andrews, NC, Eugene Craig (Renate) of Andrews, NC, Susanne Heppner (Ronald) of Warroad, MN and Peggy Dulaney (Donald) of Zion, IL.. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many honorary nieces and nephews.
