Rawls, Dolly Myers Millinder, Maude "Dink" Elliott, James Murray, Carl Nathaniel (Benjamin Earl Doughtie) and Eugene Roberson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha D. Cavanaugh (Jimmie) of Winston-Salem, NC, Becky-Leigh Doughtie of Pollocksville, NC and Robin D. Massey (William III) of Pleasant Hill, NC.; his grandchildren, Joshua Dodson Mann (Kate), William Roland Massey IV and Jenna Marie Massey; and his close friend Mary H. Brett of Conway, NC..
