It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Vaughan Mairs of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, born in Fort Collins, Colorado, who passed away on March 19, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Daniel A. Mairs; her children, Margaret A. Fortunato (Ron) and D. Vaughan Mairs (Anna); her granddaughter Margaret Vaughan Mairs; and her parents, John N. Vaughan of Murfreesboro, NC and Margaret Delk of Smithfield, VA..
She is survived by: her son John A. Mairs (Beverly A. Mairs); and her daughter-in-law Anna Mead Mairs.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in remembering Ginny be made to either the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, Hilton Head, 15 Northridge Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 or to the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, 7 Lagoon Rd., Hilton Head, SC 29926.
