He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark F Braxton, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Parker Braxton. He is survived by: his wife Betty King Braxton; his daughters, Cindy Sanders (Todd) and Betty Jo Merritt (Jeffery); his brother Mark F. Braxton, Jr. (Berta); his grandchildren, Clay Darden, Andrew Darden (Amanda), Mary D. Leitner (Cullen) and Emily Merritt; his great grandchildren, Blake Darden, Harper Darden and Bennett Leitner; his niece Nancy Cartier; and his nephews, Mark and Mike Braxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Ahoskie, NC.
