It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Marie Newsome of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Newsome and Jeanette Beaton Newsome. She is survived by: her children, Ella Sessoms (George) of Ahoskie, NC, Jacqueline Stephenson (Steve) of Murfreesboro, NC, Cynthia Reid of Norfolk, VA and James Reid of Ahoskie, NC; and her siblings, Maggie Williams of Murfreesboro, NC, Doretha Lee (Wallace) of Murfreesboro, NC, Marion Smith of Murfreesboro, NC, William "Bubba" Newsome (Ernestine) of Ahoskie, NC and Ben Newsome of Murfreesboro, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
