He is survived by: his wife Dianne Harrell Flythe; his brother David Earl "Bubba" Flythe; and his children, Tina Flythe (Michael), Paul Fythe, Jr. (Trish) and Mary Beth Waylon Simmons. He is also survived by 3 step children; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 5 step grandchildren; and 12 step great grandchildren.
