She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Barnes and Holly Bridgers Barnes. She is survived by: her children, James Ellis Garris (Del) of Hertford and Pamela Joan Grizzard (Jody) of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Jason Grizzard (Hadassah) of Zebulon, Justin Grizzard, Jill Grizzard of Chesterfield, VA and Jonathan Garris of Murfreesboro; her great grandchildren, Annabella and Bryce Grizzard; her brother Tommy Barnes; and her husband James Bailey Garris, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
