She was predeceased by: her brothers, Franklin, William and Henry. She is survived by: her daughters, Joan M. Sykes (Ray) of Rocky Mount and Carolyn M. Vick; her sisters, Shirley B. Vinson of Portsmouth, VA and Lorene B. Paul (Brinson) of Murfreesboro; her siblings-in-law, Marion M. Houle of Brush Prairie, WA, Pearl V. Bennett of Murfreesboro and Aubrey L. Meade, Sr. of Lake Royale; her grandchildren, Brian R. Sykes (Melissa) of Nashville, Keith M. Sykes (Sara Ashley) of Charlotte, Brandon D. Vick (Laura Whitney) of Nashville, Jonathan B. Vick (Brittany) of King George, VA and Kelly Vick Harrell (Tyler) of Winterville; her great grandchildren, Caleb Sykes, Emma Harrell, Nathan Harrell and Maggie Vick; and also, Shelton Meade, Sharon Meade of Rocky Mount, Tina T. Perron (Monte) of Wake Forest and Sammy Meade (Magda) of Raleigh. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
