He is survived by: his mother Mae Parker Sawyer of Cofield, NC; his wife LaKeisha Sawyer; his children, Keyana Marshall (Carmelo) of Murfreesboro, NC, Malik Brown (Whitney) of Ahoskie, NC, Tahrik Brown (Neicy) of Murfreesboro, NC and Kevin Marshall of Murfreesboro, NC; and his siblings, Robert Lee Sawyer (Queenie) of Union, NC, Robert H. Sawyer of Winton, NC, Devon Sawyer of Atlanta, GA and Devonya Sawyer of Winton. He is also survived by four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family member and friends.

The family is accepting monetary donations to cover the expense of the funeral service.
