She was predeceased by: her husband Nelson Lockey; and her siblings, Poncho Villa Dawson, Patrick Dawson, Fred Dawson, Jr., Ken Dawson, Frances West and Shirley Dawson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Wiggins (James) of West Jefferson, NC and Deborah Smith-Farrow (Gil Farrow) of Conway, NC; her grandchildren, James Brandon Beers of Raleigh, NC, Noah Dawson Smith of Murfreesboro, NC, Gil Farrow, Jr. of Conway, NC and Katlyn Farrow of Murfreesboro, NC.; her siblings, Melba Martin (Bowie) of Wilson, NC, Grace Waters (Joe) of Rocky Mount, NC, Herbert Ray "Mickey" Dawson (Carolyn) of Elizabeth City, NC, Thomas Wallace Dawson (Rosie) of Ahoskie, NC and Joshua Douglas Dawson (Bettie) of Tarboro, NC; her sister-in-law Grace Dawson of Tarboro, NC; and her close friend Bob Warren of Murfreesboro, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
