He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Majette and Dorothy Eley Majette. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Artis Majette of Murfreesboro, NC; his children, George L. Majette and Kiana Artis of Lewiston, NC; and his siblings, Doris Majette of Hampton, VA, Carol Gatling of Newport News, VA, Francis Smith (Brian) and Michael Majette. He is also survived by grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
