With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Wright Vaughan in Moyock, North Carolina, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Wright and Mildred Wright (Denby); her husband Charles Vaughan; her sisters, June Bain and Vivian Rogers; and her daughter Cheryl Holloman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Holliday (Doug) and Kathy Kemp (Chuck "Monster"); her grandchildren, Sabrina Lee (Joey), Jamie Thorpe (Matthew), Kelly Holliday Rodriguez (Will), Katelyn Kemp (Madison), Trey Kemp, Jason Holliday (Tina) and Travis Kemp (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Savannah Lee, Kaylee Thorpe, Madison Thorpe and Claire Holliday.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
