She was predeceased by: her parents, William Blenn Brown and Helen Karriker Brown; her former husband James Grady Smith; and her husband Adam Lester Peeler. She is survived by: her siblings, Farrell Brown and Judith McBride; her children, Michael Smith (Susan) of York, SC, Jeffrey Smith (Crystal) of Mt. Ulla and Glynis Allison (Craig) of Davidson; and her grandchildren, Jessica Moore (Brian), Justin Lefler (Morgan), Devon Aldridge (Ben), Grayson Smith (Katie), Caroline Ellis (Brodie), Adam Smith (Jessica) and Jake Smith (Tayler). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren with 1 due in December; 5 stepchildren; 9 step grandchildren, and 11 great step grandchildren.
