He was predeceased by: his parent Jean Evelyn Mungo; his son James Earl Arthur; his half-brother David Neil McGinnis; and his stepfather James Clyde Love. He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Lynn Arthur Jackson (Caleb) and Whitney Roxann Arthur; his grandchildren, Bryce, Bentley Jackson and Tatum Posey; his brothers, Cecil Thomas "Tommy" Arthur and John A. Hilfirty, Jr.; and his half-sister Jean Kelly Pearson.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A burial was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at the New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery (6001 Old Salisbury-Concord Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
