He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Elsie Smith. He is survived by: his brother John Bruce Smith (Kay); his nephew Darrel Smith (Marsha); his niece Bonnie S. Helms; his great-nephews, David W. Helms, Darren B. Helms (Mandoline), Brandon Byerly (Megan) and Jeremy Williams (Christina); his great-niece Kimberly Barnhardt; and also, Michael Byerly, Wyatt Williams, Hunter Barnhardt, Hannah and Haleigh Barnhardt.
