He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Giangrant and Dorothy Watson; and his siblings, Julia Watson McGovern, Margaret Watson, James Watson and William Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy Giangrant; his sons, Joseph Watson (Kim) and Christopher Watson (Nicole); his stepdaughters, Jill Peterson (Matthew) and Nicole Cottone (Joe); and his siblings, Patricia Watson Guttman (Alan) and Gerard Watson (Cathy). He is also survived by ten grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.
