He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Cook and Annie Hinson Cook Honeycutt; his daughter Nancy Mitchell; his brother Bill Cook; and his grandson Travis Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Petrea Cook; his son Terry Cook (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Leigh Locklear, Jody Lowder, Dale Cook, Craig Argabright, Paul Miller and Will Miller. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
